- Palate – 25 points
- Finish – 25 points
- Balance – 25 points
Overall balance of the whisky allows a little bit of wiggle room for intangibles.
Of all the other details that could be rated (appearance/color, presentation, etc), I chose to select these four, and allow the write-ups to address the rest.
